Malaysia International Scholarship 2026 (MIS Scholarship) Fully Funded

The Malaysia International Scholarship 2026 (MIS Scholarship) is now open for international students who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in Malaysia. This prestigious scholarship is funded by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia to attract talented graduates from around the world to study at top Malaysian universities.

The scholarship supports students who want to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees in Malaysia through full-time study programs. The program aims to promote Malaysia as a global centre for academic excellence while providing opportunities for outstanding students to continue their education in a multicultural environment.

Eligibility Criteria for Malaysia International Scholarship 2026

1. Applicants must be citizens of the eligible MIS recipient countries.
2. Applicants must intend to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD) in Malaysia.
3. Applicants currently studying in Malaysian universities may apply if they have at least two semesters remaining.
4. Applicants must not be older than 40 years for Master’s degree programs.
5. Applicants must not be older than 45 years for PhD programs.
6. Master’s applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or Second Class Upper (Honours) at Bachelor’s level.
7. PhD applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or excellent academic results in their Master’s degree.
8. Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency.
9. English Language Requirement
10. IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
11. TOEFL score of 550 or higher (paper-based test)
12. Proof that the previous degree was taught in English (official declaration required)

• Certified copy of passport (valid for at least 6 months)
• Academic transcripts
• Certified explanation of the grading system if CGPA is not shown
• English proficiency test results (IELTS/TOEFL) or proof of English medium instruction
• Two recommendation letters
• Admission letter from a Malaysian university (if available)

• Research proposal (minimum 1,000 words for Master’s by Research and PhD applicants)
