- Experience in conflict analysis
- Extensive knowledge of politics and society in the Middle East, particularly Palestine, Lebanon and/or Syria
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience providing actionable insights to a diverse range of audiences
- Master’s Degree in Political Science/Social Sciences/Geography/Sociology focused on conflict studies or equivalent required
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Demonstrated familiarity with the ACLED dataset
- Demonstrated familiarity with data analysis and visualization software
- Familiarity with local organizations working to report and document human rights violations and/or collect conflict data
- Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills
- Strong writing, editing, and oral communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to receive and incorporate feedback
- Experience working in a team, to tight deadlines, and with limited supervision
