AGRA (Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa), an African-led organisation dedicated to transforming agriculture and strengthening food systems across the continent, is currently recruiting qualified professionals for four exciting positions in Abuja, Nigeria.

Available Positions


1. Policy & State Capability Officer


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead policy implementation and government engagement initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of agricultural strategies.
  • Coordinate public-private partnerships and strengthen stakeholder collaboration.


Requirements


  • Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, Agriculture, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working with government institutions or policy implementation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of political economy and agricultural systems.
  • Project Management certification will be an added advantage.


2. Associate Program Officer


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage grants and monitor programme performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Support policy development and programme implementation.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Business Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in grant management or development programmes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is an added advantage.


3. Gender & Safeguarding Officer


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement gender equality and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and monitor policy compliance.
  • Train staff and partners on gender inclusion and safeguarding best practices.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of gender equality and safeguarding policies.
  • Experience working with NGOs or development organisations.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.


4. In-Country Finance Officer


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit processes.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and accounting operations.
  • Ensure compliance with AGRA’s financial policies and procedures.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is an added advantage.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, auditing, and accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and data analysis tools.
