Job Title: SQL Database Administrator
Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Administrator to manage our SQL database hosted in a hybrid windows environment. The ideal candidate will ensure effective data backup, integrity, indexing, shrinking, and support for scripting and SQL reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the SQL databases in Azure/onprem to ensure its availability, performance, and security.
• Perform regular data backups and implement restoration procedures to guarantee data integrity and reliability.
• Monitor and optimize database performance through effective indexing and data shrinking practices.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Create and generate SQL reports to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with best practices for database management and security.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support application data requirements and data integration efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime.

 Requirements: 
• B.Sc./HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• NYSC certification is compulsory.
• Proven 5–8 years’ experience as a SQL Database Administrator/Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server and Azure SQL Database management.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, indexing, and shrinking.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and report generation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
