The Kambiya Development Initiative (KDI) is seeking experienced facilitators, trainers, researchers, development practitioners, and technical specialists to support a 12-month youth-led project focused on strengthening education and health rights advocacy in North-East Nigeria.

The opportunity is part of the “Voices from the Camps: Youth-Led Evidence & Advocacy for Education and Health Rights in North-East Nigeria” project, which will run from August 2026 to July 2027.

About the Project

The project will work with 30 young leaders across six locations in Borno and Yobe States, strengthening their capacity to:Generate and use evidence.

• Conduct participatory research.
• Engage with their communities.
• Advocate for improved education and health rights.
• Use digital tools for data collection.
• Monitor and evaluate community-level initiatives.

Areas of Expertise Required

KDI is looking for facilitators with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Training and workshop facilitation
• Safeguarding and protection
• Participatory research
• Community engagement
• KoboToolbox, ODK and digital data collection
• Policy literacy
• Advocacy
• Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

Facilitator Responsibilities

Selected facilitators will be expected to:

• Deliver engaging and participatory training sessions.
• Facilitate learning activities for young leaders.
• Provide technical guidance within their area of expertise.
• Support practical exercises and participatory learning activities.
• Mentor and encourage youth leaders throughout the programme.
• Contribute to strengthening participants’ skills in research, advocacy, safeguarding, data collection, and programme monitoring.

The project will be implemented across six locations in Borno and Yobe States.

Borno State

• Banki
• Bama
• Dikwa
• Ngala

Yobe State

• Damaturu
• Gujba

Training Engagement

The facilitator engagement is scheduled to take place in September 2026.

Facilitators will support training activities involving 30 youth leaders across the six project locations.
