The Nigerian Army has officially opened online applications for both its 92 Regular Recruits Intake (RRI) for tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women, as well as the Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) Course 50/2027.
Registration for the 92 RRI commenced on September 9, 2026, and will close on October 21, 2026. Application for the SSCC Course 50 runs from August 14, 2026, to October 17, 2026. All applications are entirely free of charge.

For 92 Regular Recruits Intake (RRI): Criteria: Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, medically and physically fit, meet height requirements (1.68m for males, 1.65m for females), and hold at least 4 secondary school passes. Tradesmen/women require a valid Trade Test or City & Guilds Certificate, alongside standard identification and state origin documents.
For Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC): Criteria: Candidates need a minimum of a First Degree (Second Class Lower) or HND (Lower Credit), a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, and a clean disciplinary record with no criminal convictions.
