The Nigerian Navy has announced the official commencement of recruitment for Batch 39 of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS).

Nationality:
- Must be a citizen of Nigeria by birth.
- Identification: Must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Marital Status: Must be single and remain single throughout the period of basic training.
- Physical & Health Fitness: Must be medically, psychologically, and physically fit. Must have no criminal convictions by a court of law.
- Height Requirements:
- Males: Minimum of 1.69 metres
- Females: Minimum of 1.65 metres
- Language: Must be proficient in English Language (spoken and written).
Non-Tradesmen (General Duty):
- Age: 18 to 22 years old (as of December 31, 2026).
- Qualification: Minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in WAEC / NECO / GCE / NABTEB in not more than 2 sittings (results must not be older than 2020).
- Tradesmen & Artisans (Specialists / Craftsmen):
- Age: 18 to 26 years old.
- 5 credits including Mathematics and English (results not older than 2015), or Trade Test Certificates alongside a credit in English Language and 4 passes in other subjects (for trades like tailoring, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, etc., with results not older than 2017).
- Medical / Health Allied Professions: Must possess an ND from a recognized training institution and a valid practicing license.

- Local Government Attestation Form (Must be signed by a military officer of rank Commander/equivalent, Superintendent of Police or above, or Local Government Chairman)
- Guarantor’s Certification Form
- Visit the official Nigerian Navy recruitment portal: joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng.
- Register a new candidate profile using your active email address and phone number.
- Verify your NIN record.
- Select your enlistment category (Non-Tradesmen or Tradesmen).
- Fill out your details, upload your credentials, and submit a clear passport photograph (under 100KB, JPG/PNG format).
- Submit the form and print out all required confirmation and attestation slips.
