ND Western Limited is currently accepting applications from qualified and interested candidates to fill two technical roles in Warri, Delta State: Geoscientist and Senior Geoscientist.

Job Overview & Requirements

1. Geoscientist

• Location: Warri, Delta State
• Department: Technical Subsurface Team
• Experience Level: 1–2 years

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
•  1–2 years of relevant project experience in geoscience, geological modelling, or seismic interpretation.
• Proficiency with industry-standard geoscience software such as Petrel, ArcGIS, or Kingdom Suite.
• Strong technical grounding in 2D/3D seismic interpretation, subsurface structural mapping, and reservoir characterisation.
• Practical capability to support well planning operations, including identifying optimal drilling locations, evaluating geological risks, and analyzing rock/fluid properties (porosity, permeability, saturation).

2. Senior Geoscientist

• Location: Warri, Delta State
• Department: Technical Team
• Experience Level: 10+ years

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences, Geology, Geophysics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional membership (e.g., NAPE, AAPG) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in geoscience within the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in exploration, reservoir characterisation, and seismic interpretation.
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard geoscientific software, including Petrel, GeoGraphix, and 3D geological modeling tools.

• Proven expertise in 2D/3D seismic interpretation, subsurface structural mapping, velocity modeling, sequence stratigraphy, and petrophysical integration.
• Strong track record in prospect generation, volumetric hydrocarbon estimation, exploration risk assessment, well placement optimization, and field development planning (FDP).
