About Us
We are a fast-growing property and transport leasing company operating across multiple branches in Nigeria. As we scale and digitalize our operations, we are building stronger systems to improve transparency, profitability, and strategic financial planning.
We are seeking a high-performing Financial Controller to overhaul and structure our finance operations across both the Property and Transport divisions.
This is not a routine accounting role. We are looking for a systems builder and strategic finance partner.
Role Overview
The Financial Controller will design, structure, and manage the company’s financial systems, reporting, controls, and strategic insights.
You will bring clarity to revenue, expenses, projections, and profitability — and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on all financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial System Overhaul & DigitalizationAudit current financial practices and identify structural gaps
Digitize manual processes into structured financial systems
Design clear account separation between Property and Transport divisions
Establish proper chart of accounts and financial categorization
Implement financial controls and documentation processes
Financial Reporting & InsightsProduce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Provide clear revenue, expense, cash flow, and profitability analysis
Develop financial dashboards for leadership visibility
Prepare branch-level and division-level performance reports
Strategic Financial PlanningCreate financial projections and forecasting models
Support budgeting and annual target planning
Identify cost reduction opportunities
Recommend revenue growth and margin improvement strategies
Provide financial analysis for investment and expansion decisions
Compliance & GovernanceEnsure accurate bookkeeping and regulatory compliance
Establish audit-ready financial documentation processes
Oversee expense transparency and approval workflows
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACA, ACCA, ICAN or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Experience in property management, leasing, construction, or transport is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills
- Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge
- Experience setting up financial structures from scratch
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability
- High integrity and financial discipline
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Comfortable working in a growing, evolving organization
