The AKS Graduate Fellowship 2026 in South Korea is a fully funded, non-degree research program inviting international Master’s and PhD students to conduct Korean studies research for six months. AKS Graduate Fellowship Benefits
- Monthly research grant of 750,000 KRW

- 6-month research and education support period (1 Sep 2026 – 28 Feb 2027)
- Foreign national or overseas Korean (overseas Koreans must have completed all education outside South Korea)
- Enrolled in or completed a Master’s program, or enrolled in a PhD program (before completion) at an overseas university
- Research topic must be related to Korean studies
- Korean language proficiency is preferred
- Past beneficiaries are not eligible to apply
How to Apply for AKS Graduate Fellowship?
- Submit online application via gradaks.recruiter.co.kr from 27 Apr 2026 (10:00) to 8 May 2026 (17:00 KST)
- Select an AKS professor as your academic advisor based on your research topic
- Upload required documents: Personal Statement (approx. 2 pages), Research Plan (approx. 3 pages), academic transcripts and certificates, passport copy, ID photo, language test scores (if available)
- Have your professor/supervisor send the recommendation letter directly to grad_fellowship@aks.ac.kr
