Bridgforte Research Fellow 2026 in Africa | Fully Funded



The Bridgforte Research Fellow 2026 is a fully funded summer fellowship for advanced master’s students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers. It focuses on financial sector development, governance, and inclusion in Africa, offering a monthly stipend of USD $1,500 and remote participation.

The Bridgforte Centre for Global Impact is a policy research and convening institution focused on the structural foundations of financial governance and inclusion in Africa. Through the Bridgforte Dialogues and the Trust Lab, the Centre engages policymakers, regulators, and industry participants to explore system-level challenges.

Bridgforte Research Fellow Eligibility Criteria
  1. Intended for advanced master’s students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers
  2. Academic or applied work engaging substantively with financial systems, financial inclusion, or related policy domains
  3. Foundation in financial policy or regulation, financial services, financial inclusion or development finance, or public policy, law, or institutions relevant to financial systems
  4. Ability to think clearly and write with precision
  5. Ability to work independently and manage a defined line of inquiry
  6. Ability to engage with complex issues without oversimplification
  7. Ability to translate research into structured, usable insight
  8. Analytical maturity to engage seriously with real-world financial system contexts

  2. Include a curriculum vitae (maximum three pages)
