The Earmarked scholarships are funded by the Australian Government to assist eligible PhD students with their living costs and tuition fees.
The scholarships are available to both international and domestic students to undertake a PhD study at the University of Queensland.
The Earmarked scholarships are offered for research projects aligned with recently awarded Category 1 Research Grants.

Eligible Criteria
- meet the University of Queensland’s minimum entry into entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- Be a domestic (Australian) or an international student.

Benefits
- The award covers the full tuition fees of successful candidates and will provide a living stipend of $37,500 per annum tax free (reviewed annually) for 3.5 years
- The scholarship also covers the health insurance of selected beneficiaries.
