IT Infrastructure Support Intern
Position Details

The IT Infrastructure Support Intern will assist with the management, maintenance, monitoring, and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in managing and maintaining on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Support the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and security, and assist in responding to incidents or outages.
- Help automate repetitive tasks using scripting tools such as Bash and Python.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, backups, and routine maintenance.
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist in implementing security best practices, including access control and vulnerability management.
- Provide technical support for internal systems and infrastructure-related issues.
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD and version control.
- Familiarity with Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Exposure to security best practices in cloud and infrastructure environments.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
